PLANE IS DELAYED OWING TO PUNCTURE.

(Special to the “ Star.”) STRATFORD, December 9. A punctured tyre at the Hawera aerodrome was the cause of about half an hour’s delay in the continuation of Captain Gibbon’s flight from Wellington to Hamilton yesterday. The puncture, which was caused by a boxthorn branch, occurred whilst the aeroplane was being wheeled into the shelter of a hedge.
