SUMNER CONVENT TO HOLD GARDEN FETE.

Arrangements are well in hand for the garden fete to be held in the Convent School grounds, Sumner, next Saturday afternoon and evening, and the School Committee are working hard so that nothing may be lacking in the way of entertainment for both and old. Besides the various stalls setting forth their attractions of eatables, edibles and wearables, the side shows, at which prizes may be won by the skilful, should attract the enthusiasts of both sexes and all ages. For the children there will be numerous races, with a treasure hunt in the afternoon, and the baby show will show forth the sturdiness of the rising generation.
