MONICA PARK SPEEDWAY.

To the Editor. Dear Sir,-—This letter, rather than a complaint, is intended as a helpful suggestion to the management of the above speedway. The announcing, as heard from the western side of the stadium, is very poor; the only time it was _ successfully carried out was per medium of loud speakers some time ago. Needless to say, announcing is a vital part of the evening’s programme, and this should be attended to without fail. Secondly, the price of the programme, 6d, is excessive, and should be cut by half. In conclusion, I would suggest that the riding of a certain competitor on Saturday night should be the subject of a searching inquiry (he was “counted out’’ by a section of the crowd.), for unless such practices are sternly dealt with from the beginning, this fine sport will greatly deteriorate in the estimation of the supporting public.—l am etc., TWO-808 SEAT.
