Himatangi loads at Lyttelton on Thursday for Wellington, Wanganui and Foxton. Gale is expected here to-morrow from Dunedin, via Timaru, to load for 'Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. Advice has been received that the Mataroa will return to Lyttelton from Port Chalmers on August 22 to load for London. TAINUI FROM LONDON. The Shaw. Savill and Albion Compauv’c liner Tainui is due at Wellington on August 17. She will discharge passengers and malls and is expected here the following day to commence unloading. JOHN DOCKS. The coastal steamer John arrived at Lyttelton last evening from Mercer. The vessel was docked this morning for cleaning and painting. The vessel will load here on Thursday for Wellington, Wanganui and New Plymouth. PIPIRIKI. The Federal Line steamer Pipiriki. which loft New York on July 1 arrived at Auckland yesterday. The vessel is under charter to the A. and A. Line, and the cargo is for discharge at Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru and Dunedin. HERTFORD FROM LIVERPOOL. The Federal steamer Hertford arrived at Auckland from Liverpool yesterday for Napier, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru. THE GOLDEN CROSS. The Oceanic and Oriental Navigation Company's steamer Golden Cross was 1 scheduled to clear Los Angeles on Thursday with lumber, case oil and general cargo from Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Auckland, Wellington and Lyttelton. She is due at Auckland on August 27. CALLANDIA FROM TEXAS. The steamer Callandia, 6455 tons, Is to leave Port Arthur, Texas, about August 20. with case oil for discharge at Auckland, Napier, Wellington and probably South Island ports. She is due at Auckland toward the end of September. PERSONAL. Mr J. W. Stevenson has joined the Ngaio as purser. The Otckia. which arrived at W ellington on Sunday afternoon after an uneventful voyage from San Luis, is commanded by Captain E.
