C.A.A. GIVES SUM TO HELP PROVIDE BEACH PARKING PLACE.
A meeting- of the council of the Canterbury Automobile Association ivaheid - last evening. Mr F. W. Freeman presiding. The treasurer stated that the sunscription account and other funds were in a healthier state than had been ex-
perienccd in other years. A credit oi 14s 6d was shown. it was decided to recommend the finance Committee to contribute £lO to the formation of a narking place near the Waimairi Surf Life Saving Club site at North Beach. A letter from the General Manager oi Railways regarding improvements to railway crossing warning signals was referred by the By-Laws Committee, and it was decided to thank the General Manager for his courtesy in forwarding suggestions. A donation of five guineas was voted •to (he funds of the Waikuku Domains Board, for improvements to facilities at Waikuku. A donation of three guineas was voted to the St John Ambulance Association.
