New Brighton gained a fairly easy win. beating Linwood by five wickets. Rangiora continued their run of wins in beating Cast Christchurch by 79 runs. At Hagley Park, West Christchurch made a mistake in declaring too soon against Old Boys and were beaten. West made 149 in their first innings and then declared with seven wickets down for 135. Having made 166 in their first strike. Old Boys required only 113 to win. Carl and Innes went for the bowling and got the necessary runs in about an hour.
