MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

CHRISTCHURCH. (Before Mr 11. P. Lawry, S.M.) BREACH OF ORDER. For breaking the terms of his prohibition order, Thomas Alexander M’Donald was fined £2 and costs. UNREGISTERED ORCHARDS. The following were fined for failure to register orchards:—George Clark, 10s and costs; Mrs S. J; M’Kee, 10s and F. E. Bowen, 5s and costs. A case brought against J. T. M’Harg was dismissed, defendant proving that his orchard was not a commercial one. NATIVE GAME CASES. .For killing native game without licenes, the following were fined:-—Ed-ward Hall, £5 and costs; Mark Maw, £5 and costs; George Maw, £5 and costs; Reginald Vivian (Mr Thomas), £2 and costs; Richard Claydqn (Mr Batchelor), £5 and costs; Thomas Farrell, £5 and costs. For selling native game, Robert C. Searle (Mr Thomas) was fined £2 and costs. For shooting native game an hour after sunset, Anthony Carrol (Mr Thomas) was fined £1 and costs. NEW BRIGHTON CASES. A number of cases were brought by Inspector Blewitt, on behalf of the New Brighton Borough Council. William Herriott and Richard Wylie were each fined 10s and costs for cycling at night without lights. For driving without licenses, Cecil Verev was fined 20s and costs, and David Wilkins 10s and costs. David Wilkins was fined £2 and costs for cutting a corner. John Alexander Luke was fined 10s and costs for having no light on his side-car.
