The annual picnic of the Canterbury Commercial Travellers’ Association, which was postponed from Labour day owing to rain, will be held on the Show Grounds on Saturday, March 31. The Mayor and Mayoress will present the prizes to the children. The South Australian bowlers who are due to arrive in Christchurch tomorrow evening will be accorded a welcome at the Opawa bowling green on Friday afternoon. Mr F. J. Good, president of the Christchurch Bowling Centre, and the Mayor, the Rev J. K. Archer, will take part in the welcome.
