LISTENERS’ MEETING.

To the Editor. Sir,—The telegraphed report of the Auckland Listeners’ League meeting in your issue of yesterday's date makes amusing reading to us southerners. Is not the crux of the affair the fact that Christchurch, and not Auckland, is the headquarters of the Radio Broadcasting Company, and that Wellington, not Auckland, possesses the most powerful broadcasting station in the Dominion ? If the Broadcasting Company shifted 2YA to Auckland and the Christchurch

office also to the Queen City, there would be not so much as a murmur from Aucklanders. The request that the Broadcasting Company should provide the Auckland Listeners’ League with a financial statement for the past two years is nothing but sheer impertinence. As well ask any big Auckland commercial business for the same thing. —I am. etc., FAIR PLAY. Christchurch, March 21.
