Strong support was accorded by a meeting of ladies to the suggestion to hold an Kmpire Shopping Week in Christchurch. The meeting was held yesterday, following a suggestion from the Empire Industrial Association, and subsequent to a meeting held in the Jellicoe Hall some days ago. and it was decided to elect a committee and officers, with a view to enlisting further support.
