CHURCHILL ANSWERS DEBT QUESTIONS.

Mr Winston Churchill told questioners that he was not prepared to ask the United States to receive part of Britain’s debt payments in kind. lie did not favour obtaining power to prevent the raising of loans here for countries with a low standard of living. He was not greatly attracted by Viscount Sandon's suggestion to place collecting boxes in the post offices, into which clients could place dona tions for the reduction of the national debt.
