FARMER MEETS I MYSTERIOUS DEATH AT WANGAEHU.

I" WANGANUI, July 14. j A mysterious accident on Wednes- ; day night was followed by the death ! to-night of William Bernard Connors, a farmer, of Wangaehu, twelve miles from here. He called on an employee of the Wangaehu dairy factory on Wednesday evening, leaving at 10.30 for home. Shortly before 1. a.m. he returned with his overcoat burned off and his clothing in rags. As a result of something the man said the factory was visited, and in the testing room a bottle of sulphuric acid was found smashed. Connors was brought into the city this morning and died in the public hospital to-night.
