MUSICALE AT THE WOMEN’S CLUB.
A delightful programme of songs and recitations was enjoyed at the Women's Club last evening. It was pranged by Mrs li S. '»'• -c... Jr., son r.uci . Boocock. Aspidistras, bowls of soft greenefv. and early spring flowers m crystal vases, decorated the reception room and Stage, and the big tire and heaters gave the room a very comfortable atmosphere. The guests were received bv Mrs Robinson and Mrs Doococlc. Mrs Robinson wore a frock of fuchsia shot taffetas, with a vcrtee
and skirt hem of net to tone, and Mrs Boocock, a becoming frock of navy-blue georgette with touches of fawn on the bodice, and fawn bands on the skirt, and a brightly-shaded flower was worn on one shoulder. The following contributed items:— Piano duet. Miss Janet Watson and Miss Ivy Evans; songs, Mrs J. Sommers, Miss Margaret Ormerod and Mill. Thomas; iecitation, Miss Ida ('coper; pianoforte solo, Miss Janet i Watson. The accompanist was Mrs If. S. Robinson. At the close of the programme Mrs R. T. Tosswill, vice-pre-i lent, thanked the hostesses for their kindness in arranging such a pleasant evening, and extended hearty thanks to the performers for the programme which had been so greatly appreciated.
