SURPRISE PARTY.

An enjoyable surprise party was held at the residence of Mr and Mrs Smith, Torrens Road. Hillmorton, recently. Games, competitions and dancing were enjoyed by those present. The lucky spot was won by Hoban Withell and J. Senior. The winners of the competitions were N. Johnson and Misses M. Johnson and R. Smith. Music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs Smith and Norman Johnson. Three cheers for the host and hostess, and the singing of “Auld Lang Syne” brought the evening to a close. Amongst those present were:—Mr and Mrs Smith, Misses Marion Johnson, Maureen Mahoney, Rene Kingdon, Hoban Withell, Doris Kingdon, Ina Le Messurier, Kate Smith, Hilda Boyce, Louise Le Messurier and Rosa Smith, Messrs John Senior, Frank Bowers, Pat Cox, Arthur Smith, Lawrence Mahoney, Bert Sykes, Victor Freeman, William Johns, Norman Johnson, Syd Morty, Edgar Kennerley, Dick Smith, James Bolton, Harold Williams and Cyril Boyes.
