A meeting of the executive oi the Post and Telegrapfi Employees’ Association on May 6 passed the following resolution unanimously:—“This association disagrees with the recent published statement of the Secretary of the Department that because of the possibility of a decrease in post and telegraph revenue for the coming year there should be no immediate prospects for all-round increases in salaries The association, is of the opinion that in view of the record surplus of £870,000 for the past year an immediate restoration of the £25 per annum reduction suffered under the Service Adjustment Act of 1922 should be made, it being remembered tnathe percentage increase in the coot oi living is to-day on a par with when the Government adjusted s * lar !® s and ■eases to meet living _ costs by awarding an increase of ioU I— “
