PAN-PACIFIC CONGRESS OPENS WITH WELCOME BY JAPAN’S PREMIER.

The Pan-Pacific Congress has opened, about 1-50 delegates' from foreign countries, including New Zealand, attending. On the opening day speeches were delivered by Mr Wakatsuki, Prime Minister of Japan, and the president, Professor Sakurai. Eight overseas delegates also spoke. An extensive programme of tours all over Japan has been arranged for the delegates, who arc receiving a warm welcome in every quarter. The congress lasts till November 11.
