THIRD MAGISTRATE FOR CHRISTCHURCH.

(Special to the “Star”) WELLINGTON, May 4. The Hon F. J. Rolleston, Minister of Justice, stated, when his attention was called to the overwork of Christchurch magistrates, that the Justice Department had had the matter under consideration for two months, and had practically completed arrangements for the appointment of a third stipendiary magistrate in Canterbury, who would assist in Christchurch.
