ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE AT DUNEDIN.
SUPREME COURT HAS ONLY SIX INDICTMENTS. Fer Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 3. The criminal sittings were opened before Mr Justice Sim. The calendar comprised six cases involving charges against five persons. The judge, addressing the grand jury, said there was a charge of attempted murder against James Patrick Reid, the allegation being that he attempted to kill George Edward Adams. The two men worked at Makardra, and the depositions showed that there had been a between them on the way from a picnic, and Adams said he was stabbed with a knife.
