PICTURES RADIOED ACROSS ATLANTIC.

By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright. Aus. and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK. April 30 The Radio Corporation of •America and the Marconi Wireless Company of England inaugurated a commercial radio picture service to-night, the first photograph -sent to the “ New \ ork Times’’ being of speakers at the Pilgrims’ Society dinner in London, held on Wednesday night, followed by a sketch of Mr A. B. Houghton, United States Ambassador, drawn by Mr Aug ustus John. The transmission started at London at midnight, but static and mechanical troubles delayed reception, which normally should take twenty minutes, to 165 minutes per picture. The dinner photographs showed good likenesses of Lord Reading, the guest of honour, and of Lord Desborough, the toast-master.
