WEDDING.
CHAPMAN—JURY. A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated on Wednesday last at the Durham Street Methodist Church when Hylda. eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Jury of “Riverview” Kaiapoi, was married to Reuben, elder son of Mr Chas. Chapman, of Shirley. The bride who was given away by Mr Philip Dawson, looked charming in her simple frock of white, embossed crepe de chine and an embroidered veil with touches of silver and orange blossoms. A bouquet of white chrysanthemums relieved with apricot shaded begonias completed her toilet. Miss May Jury, accompanied her sister as bridesmaid, wearing a frock of apricot marocain. with a wreath of autumn tinted leaves at the waist; the same colourings being repeated m her veil and bouquet. The duties of best man were carried I out by Mr H. W. Large, j After the ceremony a few close rej latives were entertained at afternoon ! tea at the residence of the bridegroom s ! aunt, after which the happy couple left by car for the south. | The' bride’s travelling costume was 1 a jersev suit of rust brown embroidered in contrasting shades. A hat to j tone and a wolf necklet, the gift of the bridegroom, completed a charming ensemble.
