TEN TIRED TOILERS S.O.S. FROM NORTH TRAIN.

To the Editor. Sir.—We left Christchurch 40 minutes ago and as yet we have not left Papanui. This is the way the railway authorities are speeding up. If this enly happened two or three times a year, we would not mind, but this happens to us two or three times a week. First we have, to wait for the express, and then the West Coast train, and very seldom do we get passengers off either. I am sure efficiency does not mean keeping 60 or 70 workers waiting on the off-chance of a stray holiday-maker wanting to catch our train. We are, etc., TEN TIRED TOILERS.
