KUBELIK AND HIS TWIN MUSICIANS.

DAUGHTER WILL MAKE DEBUT IN LONDON. LONDON. March 18. London will probably have a concert of outstanding interest next season, for Kubelik intends to bring over his daughter, Anna, who is a brilliant violinist. “My daughter and I,” said the famous violinist to “The Daily Chronicle,” “will play a double concerto of Bach together, and as my daughter also plays the viola excellently, we shall also perform the Symphony Concertante of Mozart, for violin and viola.

“Then, perhaps, at another concert, Anna will play one of my own violin

concertos, and I will conduct the orchestra for her.”

Anna is one of the famous Kubelik twins. “The other, Marie, is also a fine player,” said her father, “but she is going to choose another career—she is going to marry ! ” , ALL MUSICAL. Kubelik told “The Daily Chronicle” that the twins began their violin studies unknown to him. “I was away a year on an American tour, and when I came home I found my twins busy fiddling.” Kubelik has five other children, and they are all musical. “Two of the other girls have excellent voices, and one, I think, will become a professional vocalist. But my youngest boy, he is the most talented of all. I believe he may do big things. “He is eleven, he plays violin and piano brilliantly, can read scores well at sight, and knows a lot about the orchestra. A little time ago, when I was orchestrating some music, he came and looked over my shoulder. “I was writing a certain passage, and he said, ‘Why didn’t you use the horns there?’ I thought over what he .said, and came to the conclusion he was right. Since then he has often taken an interest in any scores I write.”
