N.S.W. WILL PAY £450,000 YEARLY IN PENSIONS TO WIDOWS WITH FAMILIES.

Under the Government's recently approved pensions scheme for widows with young families, already 2500 claims have been granted ranging up to £-1 10s weekly, and many more remain to lx? settled. It. is anticipated that when all are operative the cost to the State will bo £450,000 annually.
