HE PRAISES PROGRESS LEAGUE’S ENTERPRISE.
"In no other part of New Zealand has a kindred body displayed such method and energy as the Canterbury Progress League." said Mr Tano Fama to a reporter last night. Mr Fama has given much time to the study of national and local advertising, and is at present in Christchurch in connection with the Government film.
"Glorious New Zealand." Continuing, he said that the Canterbury Progress League seemed to realise the importance of local propaganda, and had worked painstakingly and methodically to put Canterbury in the forefront of the provinces in this respect. Mr Puma also praised the foresight; of the authorities in the manner in which they afforded every facility to Mr Zane Grey on his recent fishing trip to the Dominion. Everything that was humanly possible was done for him, with the result that he is going to write a novel dealing with the country, two scenurious for the. Famous Players Lasky Film Corporation, and a series of articles on big game fishing and shooting for various American magazines. Next month Mr Peter B. Kync, another famous American novelist, would come out to New Zealand in search of material for n novel. He also would be afforded every facility to see and enjoy the country.
