PRISONERS PAY PENALTY FOR CRIMES

Harold Gordon Stanley Wolfe, 28 rears of age, for stealing a bicycle, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment to-day by Mr Justice Adams.

He had broken his probation order, but his Honor did not punish him for that.

Leslie Alfred East wick came up for breaking into a shop. Mr Sargent said that the prisoner was twenty-two years of age. He had not been before the Court, previously, and was a hard-working man. He had stolen’eggs to take them to his landlady in order that she should keep them for the winter.

Eastwick was admitted to probation for two years, and was ordered to pay | £2 Is costs of the prosecution.
