The Bank of New Zealand has received the following: cabled advice from its London Office under date April 21: Tallow.—There is a good demand at slightly increased prices. Under date April 23: Butter.—Very slow, 170 s to 172 s per Cheese. —Very slow. White, 92s to 93s per cwt; colon red, 9Ss to 94s per cwt. Frozen Meat.—No improvement in the demand for wethers is expected yet. The market for ewes is depressed owing to absence of demand. The market for lamb is quiet but firm. Supplies are sufficient to meet demand. Beef is in short supply, and prices are nominal. Wethers, light 5Jd to «2d, heavy 4*d to 6id per lb. Ewes, 3id to 5d per lb. Lambs, 2's, 9Jd to 10|d: Vs, 9Jd to 10d; 4*s, 9 Jcl to 9Jd: seconds. 9d to Did: Australian. 7Jd to Sfd per lb. Ox binds, 44d to 4#d per lb; fores. 3d to 3Jd per lb.
