DUNEDIN LADY WINS EXHIBITION PRIZE.
THREE MILLION MARK IS PASSED. Per Pres* Association. - DUNEDIN, April 28 There was a surging crowd of many thousands outside the Exhibition gates at three o’clock this afternoon, when the three millionth visitor passed inwards. and was conducted to the office, where the president (Mr J. Sutherland Ross) presented her with a cheque for £25. The winner was Mrs E. C. Mitchell, IS’2. Macandrew Road. Dunedin. This is thc first of the three prizes for thc millionth, second millionth and third millionth visitors respectively, which has been won by a resident of the Exhibition city. All three have been won by women. The first went to Invercargill, and the second to Mr Arthur Barnett, one of the E.xhi bition directors, has offered a prize of £2O for the three million one hundred thousandth visitor.
