NOT ST. BEDE’S FATHERS WHO WERE TAKEN DOWN.
Sir, —In your report of Court proceedings yesterday, you gi^e.,'credit to the Fathers of St Bede’s College for a generosity to which they cannot justly lay claim. The individual who came to us seeking work and praying that he would, not find it was offered some light employment only Your report makes it appear that he had an open invitation to draw on the purses of the Fathers. Tfie credit, for generosity rightly belong to several Reverend gentlemen not connected with the college, whose names at. this stage it were ungeiierous to publish.—Yours, etc., C. J. ORTTRIM, Secretary. St Bede’s College.
