300 MINERS ARE OUT AT HUNTLY.

Per Press Association. HAMILTON. April 2S. About 300 hiners employed at the Glen Afton collieries, near Huntly, are on strike. The deadlock is the outcome of an attempt "on the part of the men to force the company to desist employing as miners two men employed on outside work at the colliery for the last eighteen months. The union contends that men for the mine must be restricted to truckers who should work in the mine as vacancies occur. Another point at issue i_s that ,the men object to the company' eiiTplcyyrn'gr two men recently arrived in the Dominion when members of the union are available at Huntly.
