GIRL DUELLIST WEEPS TEARS OF RAGE.
LONDON, April 19. An eightcen-3*ear-old girl belonging to a well-known Hungarian famity, challenged a young man to a duel under extraordinary circumstances. Fencing at present, is a fashionable craze in Hungao’, and a \*oung man who was present while two women were having a bout in a fencing school in Budapest made a remark which the pupils resented, one challenging him to a duel with swords. When the parties arrived on the duelling ground, the y-outh, according to the regulations, stripped to the waist, but the girl refused to do likewise, on tlie grounds of propriety. The vouth’s seconds, therefore, forbade the duel, whereupon the girl burst into tears of disappointment, and the adversaries parted unreconciled.
