LATE SPORTING.
GALLOPS AT HASTINGS. Per Press Association. HASTINGS. April 27. Considering the long, dry spell here, the training tracks are in excellent order. Although as yet very few visiting horses have arrived, the work accomplished this morning was of an interesting nature. Most work was done on the plough. Hiwinui and Olympic trotted round at half-pace. Megan, looking very robust, cantered twice round. She appeared ft bit sore. 0 Royal Damon went a round at half pace nad then went fast over six furlongs. Grand Knight trotted once round on the inner grass and was given a good working gallop on the plough. Hillation, Little River and Road Hog were companions over a mile covered in Imin 44sec. Coot and The Strand ran half a mile in 50 3-ssec. Hukuwai. Mount Clyde and Catuna galloped five furlongs in lmin 4sec, the former doing best. Haurangi galloped six furlongs in lmin 17 3-ssec. Civilform did half-pace work. Gaze, Malatour and Perle de Leon were associated in a gallop at thfeequarter pace once round. Gaze and Perle de Leon went a further round at a fast pace. Gaze finishing well. A number of others, including jumpers. were out doing Steady work. Glentruin is expected from Woodville to-day'.
