Australian—Salted. 168 s to 170 s, up to J 72s per cwt (Is 6d to Is 6Jd to Is 6.1 d per lb): unsalted, 170 s to 172 s per cwt (Is 6id to Is 6Jd per lb); other qualities, salted 150 s to 166 s per cwt (Is 4d to is 55fd per lb); other qualities, up salted 160 s to 166 s per cwt (Ls 5d to ls 5Jd per lb). Argentine—Unsalted, 154 s to 160 s per cwt (Is 4Jd to Is 5d per 1b); other qualities, 142 s to 152 s per cwt (Is 3d to Is 4Jd per lb). Siberian —156 s to 160 s per cwt (ls 4Ad to ls s id per lb). Danish— 17Ss per cwt (ls 7d per lb). CHEESE. Colonial continues slow. Official quotations are:—English—Finest farmers’, unchanged and steady. Canadian—.-Finest coloured and white, 3 06s to 108 s per cwt (llld to per lb). New Zealand—Coloured 92s to 94s per cwt (9|d to lOd per 1£>); white 92s to 93s (98d to lOd per lb). Australian—Coloured 88s to 93s per cwt (9Jd to lOd per lb). A shipment of New Zealand produce arrived this week per s.s. Norfolk. CASEIN. French rennet is quoted at from £56 to £65, and Argentine at £52. HEM P. The Manila market is firmer. “ J’’ grade April-June shipments sold at £4O early this week, but now quoted at £4l 10s. Sisal market is stea.dy at last quotations. New Zealand market is quiet and value nominally unchanged. April-June shipments are quoted, sellers £,16 10s, probable buyers £35. Fair in dock sold at £34. WOOL. The Bradford market is quiet but firm for fine erpss-bred and merino. Tops position medium and coarse crossbred not satisfactory on account of limited Continental demand. Present quotations are:— 50’s (fine cross-bred) 2s lid per lb. 4 o’s (prepared) Is Sid per lb, others unchanged. APPLES. The market is quiet owing to large quantities of all descriptions available. Norfolk shipment now landed and opening up in good condition, no sales as yet. Small quantity previous shipments still unsold, principally inferior Cox’s Orange. Present quotations are:—-Cox's Orange 12s to 14s per case, Worcester Pearmain 8s 6d' to 10s per case. Dunn's Favourite 10s to 12s per case. Ruling prices, for Australian varieties 8s to 10s. TALLOW. The spot market is firm and prices are advancing. Present quotations are:— Mutton—Fine, 44s to 45s per cwt: fair to good, 42s 6d to 435-6 d per cwt; dark to dull. 40s to 41s per cwt. Beef——Sweet and (or,i mixed, 42s 9d to 43s 6d per cwt; fair to good. 41s 6d to 42s 9d per cwt: dark to dull, 38s 6d to 40s per. cwt.
