CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION The committee of the Canterbury Cricket Association met last evening. Present: Messrs D. Reese, president (in the chair). R. C. Blunt, 3V. L. King, E. B. Ward. E. A. Gasson, A. R. Henderson, W. Simpson, M. O. Sinclair. R. H. North, D. V. Smith. E. 'Weston, W. E. Patrick, and E. E. Luttrell (hon. sec.). An anonymous donor forwarded a cheque of two guineas towards tho association’s funds. It was decided that it should go into the foundation Donations of two guineas from-Mr■ W. L. King and of £5 from Mr E. Boulton for the foundation fund were also received. It was agreed to write and thank all the donors. The honorary treasurer stated that profits had been made as follows: Auckland. £l3 1 Os f»d: Wellington, £155 19s 4d; Victoria, £65 12s 6d (plus a refund on the guarantee of £27 5s 2d), making a total profit of £3Bl 17s sd. The southern tour had cost £S2 10s sd, the match with the Auckland touring team £1 30s Id. and the sub-associations match £2 Ss sd. The Limvood Club were granted permission to change their colours to green and black. An application was received from the Rangiora Club to enter a team in the senior B grade. The letter stated that the club had a ground at Rangiora. with a concrete pitch, and an excellent out Held. Mr Simpson said he thought the association had gone out quite far enough when they went to Kaiapoi. It was decided that the question of affiliation be deferred till the meeting of delegates on July 34. and that the Rangiora Club be asked to send a deputation to that meeting. It was agreed to make application to the trustees of the estate of the late Mr ID. Redpath for the sum of £2OO, bequeathed by him to the foundation fund on certain conditions with wlilcii the association had complied.
