The half-yearly meeting of the Christchurch Cathedral Society of Bellriu*«r a was held in tue ringing chamber oi. Tuesday. June 23; present —Jttev H. Jones .president , Messrs G. li. Claydan, A. G. Cusdjr., C. Grant. (5 Woods and N. e>!oan. Correspondence was received from Mr A. Craven, a ringer in England, who is desirous of coming to New Zealand It wadecided that the secretary should write and obtain further particulars as to h-i ability. Mr E. IJolobon forwarded his resign* seconded that a letter of thanks be sent to him thanking him for his past services Messrs T. Salmon. Coo man and B Heald The following officers were elected rung on the fir it Sunday '"eventing in. each month. granted to the Mayor's Coal and Blanker T lt was left to Mr Woods to make arrangements for the usual Christmas cake for St .Saviour's Orphanage.
