DEATH MYSTERY OF A JUDGE'S DAUGHTER.

ANALYST DISCOVERS POISON. LONDON, Aprii 1. Miss Isabella May Shawe (seventy), the daughter of a Judge in the Indian Civil Service, and at one time principal of the School for Daughters . of the Clergy in Dublin, was again the subject of a coroner's inquiry at Paddington yesterday. Miss Shawe died on January o after ; a brief illness, and when the inquiry was opened Dr Bronte, the pathologist, said that he could not find sufficient ■ disease to account for death, and that ! he found symptoms which suggested | corrosive acid poisoning. 1 At the adjourned inquest * yesterday Mr John Webster, the Home Office analyst; stated that he discovered traces in the stomach of hydrochloric acid. Miss Shave's nephew said that of late years his aunt had got into moneylenders' hands. An open verdict was recorded.
