A branch of the Farmers* Union was formed at Eiffelton last evening. The following committee was elected:— Messrs H. Watts (chairman), J. P. M’Quilkin, P. Sheehan. F. P. Cookson, F. Crossan and S. P. Taylor Mr Watts was elected delegate to the Mid-Canterbury executive. The appointment of a secretary was heid over The meeting was largely attended. B. C. Withell. of the Ealing branch. Flemington was decided upon as the venue of the next meeting.
