A CALM APRIL.
BUT PLENTY OF RAIN. NINE FROSTS RECORDED.
There was much calm weather duvug April and t(ie mean temperature . for tho month was normal. The total rainfall was approximately three and one-third times that of the average fall for the month. Tbo fall of 4.711 in on April 10 was the heaviest recorded in Christchurch for any day from 9.30 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. since 1902. There were nine frosts during the month, of which the most severe was 8.2 degrees. April this year was colder than April last year. Following are particulars of the month’s weather: — Barometer.
