J. O. Anderson, of Sydney, is playing better than ever this season. Although he still relies mostly on his severe forehand drive, his back-hand play is stronger and his volleying finer than when he took part in the Davis Clip contest. It now seems probable that he, Patterson, O' Hara Wood, and J. B. Hawkes will form the next team for America.
