“TO THE ANZACS.”
SIR HARRY LAUDER’S POEM. A poem ‘To the Anzacs,” written by Sir Harry Lauder, was -read at the annual meeting of the Christchurch Returned Soldiers’ Association last night. In a covering letter written from the Edeudale Estate. Edcndule. Southland. Sir Harry Lauder, in apologising for not being able to be present at the annual smoke concert of the association, said:— “ T have just returned from the Lakes district and could not be in time to be with you. I hope all your efforts have been crowned with success. My .respects to the Anzacs vou will find on the next page. I hope I may see you all when I get as far as Ch ristehurcli. ’ ’ TO THE ANZACS, What a day to remember , And never forget! What a day to keep sacred For a hundred years yet!
