THE GERMAN PUPPET.
BY
SINBAD
Old Hindenburg has won Ihe day. a Junker jubilant is he, and all the monarchists are gay, and cheer beside the river Spree. “Hurrah ior Deutschland, ’ is their cry. “our stock is going up again,” thus now in exultation high declare the German Junkermen. For now on every hand the Hun to Hindenburg his praises sings, the Monarchists tbe day have won, and Kaiser Willie pulls Ihe strings. When Hindy thunders, “On parade” Ihe Diet will like marble stand, the Socialists awa.y will fade, when Hindy shakes at them his hand. The future prospect greatly narks the Democrats for things are black. I tear that poor old Dr Marx is relegated to the pack: while just across the border now, in "Wilhelm hope eternal springs, though Hindy hand be at the plough, vet. Kaiser Bill will pull the strings. Oh, Hindenburg with pride may glow, aud dream of power arid such like things, yet in his soul he ought to know, that W ilhelm still will pull the strings.
