COLLEGE “ BLUES.”
THIS YEAR’S AWARDS * Canterbury College “ Blues have been awarded for 1924, in tennis, athletics, boxing and shooting. The winners are as follow Tennis—L A. Seay and B. B. Loughnan, JM.isses E. Partridge, W. Partlidge, M. Sow den and L. Saunders. Athletics—C. JE. Low. C. L. Ridgen. H. F. Ault and W. G. Morrison. Boxing- -8. Craven, J. T. Burrows, S. J. Cotter, W. G. Hughson and D. JVL Martin. Shooting—R. C. FT. Galbraith and E. B. Deihl. The “ Blues ” are awarded in connection with the Faster Toumau together with the form shown during the season. The form shown in some branches of sport at Canterbury College during the past season has been exceptionally high, especially in boxing. and hence the large number of “Blues’* awarded in that particular branch. As the College becomes larger and competition for a place m the teams, for the blaster tournament becomes keener, so .t becomes harder each year to win a College “ Blue." as it Jias always been the policy of the College authorities never to award a * 4 Blue'* except where it is fully merited. The winners of “ Blues" in football will he announced in the near future.
