Sir Philip Graeme, president of tho Board of Trade, replying in the House of Commons to questions regarding representations from the Commonwealth Government, on the subject of the preferential treatment of Australian dried and canned fruit, said that Australian preserver! fruits already received preference to the extent of one-sixth and the Imperial Government, after careful consideration. concluded that it- was not possible to increase the amount of the preference.
