COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE

(Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, December 4. Roy Nash pleaded guilty at the Police Court and was committed for sentence on charges of having obtained jewellery valued at £6B and boots valued at £6 10s 6d by issuing valueless cheques. Accused opened a banK account with a deposit of £25, drawing £2l. When purchasing the jewellery he paid a cheque for £2 as a deposit, wiiich was honoured. Evidence showed that accused, who is aged thirty-four and known as Ray Edwards, had a half-share, valued at £2OOO, in a business at Napier.
