A BOY KILLED. (Per Press Association.) DUNEDIN. December 4. Frank Pollock, aged eleven, was killed at Palmerston on Saturday through a chimney collapsing under the wind pressure. A NATIVE KILLED. (Per Press Association.) GISBORNE. December 4. A native, named Toko Puru. while attempting to board a train at Afakaraka on Saturday night, fell between the carriages. He was run over and killed. The body of a boy named Bassett, who was drowned on ‘-h:nday at th * Mmtnganui Bluff, wan found a quarter of a mile from the : ccno of the accident. His head and face were badly battered. At the inquest, the survivors. Powell and Donaldson stated that they noticed the boy bleeding from the bead before he sunk. The roror.er found that Bassett was accidentally drowned.
