LAST NIGHT’S OVERFLOW.
“ A GOOD-HUMOURED CROWD” “ The crowd outside the Theatre Roval last night were quite good humoured and did not giro us anv serious trouble. 5 ’ remarked a police officer this morning. ‘‘ While the meeting was in progress inside th a theatre the crowd behaved themselve-; As was only to he expected, some of the youths who were looking fo. fun were inclined to get out of hand at times, hut fortunately nothing of j a serious nature txourrcd. They were 1 out to amuse th<*mselvcs and under I the circumstances there was very little I f>efore the close ot the meeting that i exception could be taken to." I After the close of the meeting said th police officer, the crowd looked a« though it might get out of hand, and there was considerable jostling near the gallevv door when it was expected that Air Massey would come out that way. However, the police stood up to it and after Mr Massey had made his exit bv the other door the crowd toon melted away. No arrests were made and it is under, stood that no names of persons in the crowd were taken
