All manner of craft will be afloat—yachts, launches, hydroplajaes, rowboats and racing- boats. A eifrht that will uot. be forgotten easily will be that of over 30 yachts I under canvas sliding over the est.un.ry. : Thrills will be provided by the hydroplanes, j some of which can travel at nearly 30 : knots an hour. The rowing events should 1 create n great deal of interest, in view of the approach of ihe Akaroa regatta. In several events there will be as, many as eight, crews competing at one time. There will also by motor boat race?, and tb'>ee who enjoy a trip on tbe ?ca will be afforded opportunities ht the launch Pacific, j which will mu trips throughout the sfter- > noon. On shore many stalls have born I erected, and they will be laden with cake? and produce for the thrifty housewife Side-show people have erected a eenvasfowu, and iu addition competitions, wijj provide entertaiamoni.
