ROSE IMY TO-MORROW. Judging from :b- vety favourable reports that_ are being received from the numerous organisations that ar»assisting in the sale of rosea and postcards of the Bridge of Remembrance on Friday next. Rose Day*' should prove one of the most successful street collection efforts mad© this year. It is a happy coincidence that the date of Ibe first Rose Day held in Christchurch should fall oa the birthday of the Dowager Queen Alexandra, who was the originator of the famous Rose 7>ay in England. The object of the street collection is lo assist in the raising of £'2ooo still required for the Christchurch war memorial, the Bridge of Remembrance, and for such a worthy object it is believed that the public will respond freely and generously. Postcards of the Bridge of Remembrance. in sepia and in colour, will als;» be sold. The Horticultural Society, which is holding its annual rose showin the Art Gallery on Friday, will also sell bloorus in aid of th« Bridge of Remembrance funds.
