Messrs J. B. Merrett and Co. report a large entry of poultry to-day, over 3000 birds being entered. Prices were good for prime birds. Table chickens realised 8a Cd to 16s, bens 4s Gd to 9s 6d, ducks 7s to 14s, geese 9s to 11s—all per pair. THE EGG MARKET. There is a good supply of eggs, and the demand is good. Canterbury Egg Circle’s first grades aro 2s, seconds Is lOd. Competition eggs realised by auction to-day 2s, ducks Is lOd per doen.
