SUGAR SHORTAGE.
* NON-ESSENTIAL INDUSTRIES. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, January 10. The Prime Minister stated to-day that the Cabinet had decided that restrictions would be imposed upon such industries as brewing and sugar-boiling during the fruit season, so as to leave as much sugar as possible for jammaking and fruit-preserving.
