The " World's " correspondent on the British front on the Sommo cables.that despite the steady advance of the Brit, ish command it does not look like a quick termination of the war. The British are determined to carry the war to German soil, and on the Sornme the reinforcements are literally thick from the battlefront to the sea. Germany has 2,000,000 trocp3 in France, of which 700,000 are against the British The A!l ed armies are making steady headway, and Britain lias an army of splendid mn'-erial. At least 2,0C0.C00 men could bo thrown against the Germans at one point without touching the reserves at Home. At the present rate of losses Britain could light tlirough next summer without now troops, but if the present gains continue Germany by then would be driven out of Franco.
